Why Homeowners Love Port a Potties

Home Owners Love Port-a-Potties ? Here's Why!

It might not make much sense, at first, to state that homeowners love port-a-potties ? after all, their homes have inside plumbing!  So what could be the reasons, for which, homeowners would favor these humble commodes?

Well, here are three reasons why port-a-potties get a hearty 'thumbs-up' by homeowners, everywhere:

1.  Special Events

Families love getting together with friends and other family members for a variety of reasons:  long-overdue reunions, surprise birthday bashes, milestone anniversaries, engagement celebrations, bar mitzvahs ? you name it, family ties are special.  They are what memories are made of.

When dozens or more people congregate in one's home, however, indoor bathrooms can take a beating.  This is where port-a-potties come in so handy!  Foot traffic throughout one's home and the possibility of spilled food and drinks en-route to the indoor restroom become moot points when port-a-potties are available.

The nice thing is, port-a-potties can be situated in one's backyard, in one's garage or private driveway.  Sure, a guest or two may decide to use an indoor restroom to change a baby's diaper, for example, but homeowners love the idea of keeping their indoor restrooms tidy without having to clean up the 'aftermath' due to their home's restroom having been used, hour after hour.

2.  Renovating

When room additions or other renovations take place, construction workers will need a restroom to use.  This presents a quandary since some homeowners wouldn't feel comfortable allowing construction workers to use their home's indoor facilities for any number of reasons ? concern over debris being, continually, tracked throughout the home, en route to the restroom, would be one of them.

If construction workers are performing work on the outside of the home, while the homeowners are gone, leaving the front door unlocked to allow restroom access wouldn't be acceptable for a lot of homeowners.  Here is where port-a-potties make their grand entrance, once again.  Having a port-a-potty positioned in one's driveway would allow for easy access for not only the workers but for the delivery/maintenance/retrieval trucks from the port-a-potty company.

By having a port-a-potty in place, homeowners would be able to breathe a sigh of relief knowing workers have quick access to a portable restroom.  Additionally, accessibility to port-a-potties would be much appreciated especially if a public restroom were a distance, away.

3.  Power Outages

For the most part, Texas enjoys pleasant weather throughout the better part of the year.  That doesn't mean the Lone Star State can't experience ice storms, raging rains, or other seasonal extremes.  Whacky weather that causes power outages are termed 'rolling blackouts'; in fact, one such event took place in the Dallas area in 2011, due to snowstorms and extreme cold.

Then, during June of 2019, widespread outages took place across the DFW metroplex.  Some Texans affected by the aftermath of violent storms were without power for up to four days due to power-line structures that required reconstruction.  It was during this time that Dallas was hit with 70 mph winds.  By the third day of power outages, almost 25,000 homes in Dallas were still without electricity, and grocery stores, frantically, kept perishables in refrigerated trailers powered by generators.

With all that being said, isn't it nice to know that port-a-potties can come to the rescue during situations where water, for toilets, is not available?  And as a side-note:  it's always a good idea to have battery packs charged, ahead of time, to power mobile phones when unexpected emergencies come your way.

These are the reasons home-owners love port-a-potties!
